Wonderscope Children’s Museum created the Early Educator Wonderful Hero Awards in 2014 to recognize the contributions of early childhood educators in the metropolitan Kansas City community and to highlight the importance of high quality early childhood education experiences. Teachers play a critical role in a child’s social, educational and emotional development by nurturing a child’s confidence, inspiring their imagination and creativity, and advocating for the well-being of their children and families.
The Wonderscope Early Educator Wonderful Hero Award is given to outstanding early childhood educators to recognize and thank them for making a difference in young children’s lives. The Early Educator Wonderful Hero Award honorees will be recognized on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm at Counter Point, 1903 Wyandotte, Kansas City, MO.
Please read the requirements carefully as your application must reflect each area clearly and completely. When writing your nomination statement, be succinct, and inform the reader about specifics related to each area. Application materials are also posted at www.wonderscope.org
At time of submittal, each official nominee application must include:
A complete application form
Nomination statement not to exceed 500 words
A biography and resume of the nominee
A signed verification statement (page 3 of application)
